Daniel Pyne is the President and Designated Managing Broker of Pyne Properties, LLC, a Chicago based residential and commercial real estate brokerage and property management provider. Dan founded Pyne Properties with the belief that his diverse business background in sales, marketing, and leadership, along with his deep commitment clients would result in Pyne Properties becoming the gold standard of professional excellence and a stand-out in an arguably overcrowded industry.

Since entering real estate, Dan has been fortunate to have successfully represented a wide breadth of properties; from the efficiency apartment to an 8,500 square foot 19th century historic mansion, and just about everything in-between. He has developed a reputation as a successful turn-around agent, having being sought out by sellers to take over property listings that had previously struggled to sell. Dan has served as the broker of record for court ordered property sales and has successfully negotiated with lenders and other creditors to restructure debt to avoid foreclosure. In addition, Dan has over over 20 years of experience serving as board president and treasurer for a large condominium association and is a licensed community association manager. Clients greatly benefit from his unique depth of knowledge and experience to evaluate homeowner associations. Ultimately, Dan thrives on the unique circumstances that arise with each new client, be it buyer or seller, the shared journey that unfolds and the unforgettable bond that is created during and often long after arriving at the destination.

Outside of his professional real estate life, Dan is an active outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, kayaking, and is as obsessed with sailing as he is helping his clients. During the short summer months in Chicago, you may find him on Lake Michigan at the helm of Never Better, his Pearson 26 sailboat or crewing on a Farr 40 racing yacht. Civically speaking, Dan has served on boards for Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Third Coast Baroque and others. He is currently the Commodore of the Belmont Yacht Club and Treasurer and Past President of the Chicago Literary Club. Dan is a fluent French speaker (and loves working with French clients). Over the years, has appeared on stage in 18 productions as a supernumerary/actor at Lyric Opera of Chicago and Haymarket Opera Company.

I’m a seasoned real estate professional eager to guide my clients through the critical transition of buying, selling, leasing, or renting their next home, investment, or business location. Making a real estate transaction of any kind is a major event for an individual, family, or business and it is very meaningful for me to be alongside my clients in their journey. It is a huge privilege for me to earn the trust of my clients and I consider it my number one priority to make sure they are completely satisfied with their experience working with me. I believe life is about helping people and building relationships. It’s my goal to make sure thet my clients' transactions are not only stress free, but enjoyable and exciting life experiences. I strive to build relationships that extend far beyond the closing dates of real estate transactions.

Aside from being a real estate broker, I’ve flipped houses and own a short term rental property so I have unique perspective that can help investors. I am the president of a nonprofit that benefits Mayfair Park on the northwest side of Chicago. I’m an alumnus of (the now national football champion!) Indiana University Bloomington. I have season tickets to the Chicago Bears (and I’m old enough to remember the last time they were Champions!). I enjoy traveling and swimming. I participate in bicycling events every year. I am an avid BBQ pit master and I consider myself to be both an aspiring wine snob and a Chicago dive bar/brewery enthusiast! I’m in the process of learning Spanish and my wife was born in Colombia so I have an excellent translator for Spanish and Portuguese. Having and sharing fun experiences is a big part of who I am. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
